Abstract

Appendiseal endometriosis is a rare cause of acute appendicitis. In patients with endometriosis acute abdomen findings may be manifest simultaneously with pelvic pain. If acute abdomen findings were positive, the diagnosis should not be directed toward pelvic endometriosis. Surgical exploration must be performed with no delay. In exploration uterosacral ligament, ovaries, rectouterine fossa and gastrointestinal system should be exarnined for ectopic endometriosis ex is tence. In this article we wanted to report a case that acute appendicititis caused appendiceal endometriosis.
